After each use, clean the plate with warm water and a soft brush—avoid using soap. Dry completely, then coat with oil to protect the surface. Wipe down the wooden base with a damp cloth. Keep the plate in a dry place, and if rust forms, gently scrub with a vinegar solution and re-season with oil.
