Description
Keep your Cast Iron Sukiyaki & Gyoza Pan (300mm) in good condition by letting it cool before washing. Clean the pan by hand using warm water and a soft sponge, taking care not to use harsh abrasives that may damage its finish. Dry the cast iron thoroughly after every wash to minimise moisture and rust. If the surface is seasoned rather than enamelled, apply a small amount of cooking oil before storing. Clean the wooden lid separately with a damp cloth, dry it straight away, and avoid soaking it in water. Store in a dry location.
How to Use
Using the Cast Iron Sukiyaki & Gyoza Pan (300mm) is ideal for preparing Japanese style dishes to share. Warm the pan gradually on a suitable stovetop before adding your ingredients. For sukiyaki, pour in the cooking sauce, then add vegetables, tofu and thinly sliced meat, allowing everything to simmer gently. For gyoza, heat a little oil, arrange dumplings across the pan and fry until golden underneath. Add water carefully and cover briefly to steam them through. Keep the wooden lid away from direct flame, and use oven mitts and a heat resistant trivet when serving.
