Description

Care for your Kusunoki Wood Bento Box by gently wiping the lacquered wood with a soft cloth and washing food contact surfaces with mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid soaking, abrasive sponges, strong detergents and dishwasher use, as these may damage the satin Urushi finish. Dry each surface promptly, allowing the box and its five compartment insert to air dry thoroughly before storage. How to Use

To use the Kusunoki Wood Bento Box, begin with the box and its five compartment insert clean and completely dry. Arrange cooled rice, vegetables, protein and other side dishes in separate sections to create a balanced Japanese style bento lunch. Use the red and black contrast as a backdrop for colourful ingredients, keeping wetter foods contained to help protect the lacquered surface. Carry the box upright to reduce spills, and avoid placing very hot foods directly against the wood. After dining, remove leftovers promptly and clean the surfaces gently.
