The Traditional Bento Box Red & Black is a Japanese-style lunch box (お弁当) that is commonly used in high-end Japanese restaurants and inns to serve compact multi-course lunches. The meals consisted of rice and a fish or meat portion including pickles, eggs, vegetables, and Umeboshi (梅干し), a pickled sour Japanese plum. Originally the Traditional Bento Box was a handcrafted masterpiece inspired by the Edo period.
